| Student athletes who plan to participate in intercollegiate athletic programsat the college level, must apply to the NCAA Eligibility Clearinghouseand meet the requirements before they can participate. The forms for theclearinghouse can be obtained in the Guidance Office. The information provided below will help students and parents understand the NCAA Eligibility Requirementsand which courses at BCHS meet these requirements and those which do not. | 4 years of English (English 1,2,3,4) 2 years of Math ( Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Algebra 3, Pre-Calculus, Calculus) 2 years of Science (Intro to Lab Science, Biology 1, Biology 2, Chemistry 1, AP Chemistry, Physics, Anatomy & Physiology) 2 years of Social Science ( Geography, World History 1,2, American History Government, Sociology, Psychology, Law) 1 additional credit in Math, Science or English (any of the additional math or science courses listed above beyond the minimum requirements and Oral Communication 1 & 2) 2 years of additional Core Courses (Spanish 1, 2, 3 ,4, French 1 ,2 ,3, 4, Oral Communications 1 & 2, as well as any of the Math, Science or Social Science courses listed above if not already counted in one of the above areas. ACT - Sum of English, Math, Reading, and Science Reasoning subtests must equal 68 SAT - Verbal and Math score must total 820 |
