21st Century Learning Center Grant Information
BCHS has received grant funding from the 21st Century Community Learning Center Grant for the 2019-20 school year. BCHS offers before and after school learning opportunities for students including credit classes, enrichment opportunities, and individual assistance with homework help and tutoring. The credit courses are Western Civilization I and II, Math Credit Recovery, Practical English Credit Recovery, and The Art of Crafts. The enrichment activities for students are Flags and Color Guard, Dance Technique, Beginning and Advanced Robotics, Chemistry Magic, Drum Line, Speed and Agility, and Computer Animation/Visual Effects. Students who need assistance with their academics have access to help and tutoring. Tutoring is available with a certified math teacher from 7:00 - 7:50 am Monday through Friday and for two hours after school Monday through Thursday. The library as well as the library computer lab is also open for student use during this time. Students and/or their parents can contact us to arrange formal after school tutoring on a regularly scheduled basis. We want to encourage all students to seek additional help with their academics and there is no charge for the before and after school activities, including tutoring. Watch our website for upcoming opportunities for students and parents through 21st Century grant programming. Additional information on the 21st Century Community Learning Center program is available by contacting Mrs. Heather Mitchell in the library at extension 216 or via email at firstname.lastname@example.org
