Six seniors were recognized last night at the Southern Illinois Society for High School Achievement banquet. Recognized for their academics and leadership were Jesser Zepeda, Docker Tedeschi, Kirklyn Kay, Parker Johnson, and Cole Buchanan. Unable to attend due to other extracurricular commitments was Tyler Buntin. These seniors were selected by the high school staff to represent BCHS. Congratulations!
District Dead Week: The District imposed dead week for all BCHS activities is June 29, 2025 - July 5, 2025. This is in addition to the IHSA imposed dead week which runs from Aug. 3, 2025 - Aug. 9, 2025.

Here is the updated calendar for the Spring 2025 semester
Parent -Teacher Conferences - This spring BCHS will be conducting parent-teacher conferences on two dates. The first date is Tuesday, February 25 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The second will be held on Tuesday, March 18 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Teachers will be located in their classrooms and parents should enter through the main entrance. Student schedules will be available upon request.

CAREER DAY @ BCHS Friday, January 31st is Career Day at BCHS. In the morning, students will have the opportunity to attend break out sessions to hear and learn from people that work in a variety of industries. Later that afternoon, students will participate in a career fair in which a variety of businesses and colleges will set up information tables throughout the school. This should be a great opportunity for BCHS students to learn more about and possibly find a career or profession to pursue. This will also be an early dismissal of 1:50 for students.
BCHS Graduation - The 2025 Graduation Ceremony for BCHS has been scheduled for 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 17, 2025. The ceremony will be held at Tabor Field with weather permitting.

Long-term substitute P.E./Driver Ed. Teacher (approx. Jan. 14 – late April),
Math applicants must be licensed and certified to teach dual credit Statistics and

P.E./driver ed. applicants must be licensed to teach driver education.
